Week 8: update

The conclusion of Week 7 marks the official end of the ASLC's swimming, art and canoeing programs - what an amazing season!  Thanks to all of the instructors and participants for making it such a success. A special shout-out to Kelly Wells who pulls it all together year after year!  Thank you Kelly. 

We have an update on the Juniper Island Store as well as this week's fitness schedule.

Drinking Water at Juniper
Potable water is now available at the store, UV filters have been replaced and everything is in working order.

Contribute to the 2020 Islander
The Islander Team is already hard at work preparing for next year’s issue. Please send in your story ideas, poetry, recipes, artwork, or any content you would like to see considered for publication. We also would love to publish photos of life on Juniper Island. If you have photos of lessons, camp, paddling, the masquerade, socials, wing night, yoga, pets, square dancing, the ladies lunch, etc…we want to see them.

Juniper Island Store: update

Store Operators: 2020
We're happy to announce the 2020 store operators -- Aly Knox and Kyra Wells. Both Aly and Kyra are life-long Stony Lakers, active in the community and familiar faces around Juniper. If you see them over the next week or so, be sure to say hello and congratulations!

We are into the last week of programming which means some changes to the schedule.

Swimming, canoeing and arts and crafts are done for the season. Yoga is STILL ON, until Friday of this week. There is no Friday yoga class.

Yoga and Fitness
There is only one week left to try out the HIT Class! This body-weight strength class is 45-minutes followed by a 45-minute session of Vinyasa flow. Suitable to all levels and following a challenge by choice method, this great class is an excellent complement to your tennis, sailing, running, or swim training.

Please note that there is no Friday Yan Ying yoga this week.

Costs:
Daily pass rate for 60-minute classes: $25
Daily pass rate for 90-minute classes: $35
5 class pass for 60-minute classes: $80
5 class pass for 90 or 60 minute classes: $110
1 week unlimited: $60

Schedule:
Monday/Wednesday - Pilates 9:15am
Monday – Silver (Gentle) Yoga 10:30am
Tuesday/Thursday - Stretch Yoga 9:30am
Tuesday/Thursday – HIT + Power Yoga 11:00am *90-minute class

Verification of Island names on Stony Lake

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is asking for input on verifying the name of two Stony Lake islands in and around St. Peter's church. Follow this LINK for further information and for the location of the two islands.
