The Environment Council is hosting a special meeting on Friday, August 9th from 2-4 in the USLA Pavilion at Crowe's Landing. Terry Rees, Executive Director of the Federation of Ontario Cottagers' Associations (FOCA)  will address possible budget cuts to water quality monitoring for Ontario lakes.

All are welcome! Bring your concerns and questions. We will also be addressing the arrival on our lakes of Starry Stonewort, a dangerously aggressive, plant-like macroalgae.

Best of luck to all competitors on the lake this week! Regatta goers, golfers taking a swing in SLYC's annual tournament on Tuesday, and SLYC sailors off to races this week. Have fun out there!
