Paddle, swim, crafts (PSC) and other camps 2024

paddle, swim, crafts (PSC)

Not really a camp, but a special program started in Summer 2021 that has become extremely popular with the littles. The Paddle, Swim, Crafts (PSC) program is a half-day camp that will run in weeks 1 -5. This program has been designed to allow your young cottager to join us each morning OR afternoon for three hours. Their instructor will meet your child(ren) on the front dock when you drop them off. They will participate in our swimming, paddling and arts & crafts program and will also have a break at the store before meeting you back on the dock for pick up.

Participants will need to bring a paddle and lifejacket each day.

PSC stay for lunch option

PSC Stay For Lunch program from 12-1pm is included in the PSC fee for any participants who want to have lunch with friends and play games with our Activity Instructors. Campers registered in either the morning or afternoon PSC session are welcome to stay / come early for supervised, bring-your-own lunch time. Details upon registration.

environment camp

Once again, the ASLC is partnering with Camp Kawartha to offer a week-long Environment Camp geared towards 5–10 year olds. We are offering this for week 2 of our programming starting July 8th. Participants will connect with the lake environment through nature activities, drama, games and crafts. Led by the award-winning staff from Camp Kawartha, children will learn about animal adaptations, plant ecology and the unique habitats that are an integral part of the Kawartha Lakes. Participants will learn to call in birds, make bow drill fires, catch aquatic invertebrates, dance like salamanders and sing with frogs. Environment Camp is fun, active and hands-on!

camp juniper

Camp Juniper is a program for 5-10 year olds which will run from 9-12 each morning for weeks 6 and 7. The focus of this program is to have fun doing all of the things that are offered at Juniper. This will include but is not limited to arts and crafts, games, pickle-ball, swimming, story time and paddling. There will not be any skills instruction. We are just going to have fun and enjoy all of the things that Juniper Island has to offer.
