Youth Volunteer Opportunities

The ASLC provides summer volunteer opportunities for qualified youth in the community.

LEADERS-IN-TRAINING (VOLUNTEERS)

Leaders-In-Training (LITs) are volunteers who assist in all areas of ASLC summer programming. This is a volunteer opportunity designed to grow the individual’s abilities as a leader and a community member; and to develop the skill sets required to be a future ASLC Instructor.

LIT volunteers help to facilitate ASLC activities on Juniper such as art & crafts, paddling, Camp Juniper, dance and other activities. In addition to these activities, LITs assist both instructors and participants, where needed.

LITs are an important part of ASLC Programs and are expected to be present for their assigned times/shifts.

Note that all employees/volunteers must have a current ASLC membership.

Details on volunteer postions, qualifications and how to apply to be a LIT and/or a programs volunteer will be posted in the spring. Check back for more details.
